Quick Guide: First-timer Parents to Niseko

So, you have finally decided to go snowboarding in Niseko with a toddler or kids. You have done all the bookings and research online but worries about the safety and activities to do with your children. Don’t fret! Niseko has a lot to offer with regards to taking care of your child or activities that your children can join while you are rocking the slope.

Here are the list of options for you:

  1. Private Babysitter

Niseko Babysitters offers private babysitting at the comfort of your hotel. They both offer the service for daycare and evening. And also welcome kids from newborn to 14 years of age. They have different activities to entertain your children.

  1. Creche/Daycare

There are three Creche/ Daycare available in Niseko.

  • Niseko Kid’s Club is the newest international creche/daycare located inside Aya Niseko and offers care for children 12 months to 6 years old. Rest assured that your children are having the time of their lives under competent carers if you require service in the morning, afternoon or for the entire day.
  • Niseko Village and Hotel Niseko Alpen both offers Daycare for kids from 12 months to 6 years old. If you are staying in either of the hotels, you can avail discount and conveniently drop your kids. Booking is a must during peak season for all three Creche/Daycare cares.
  1. Ski Lesson

Niseko has 4 interlinked ski resorts: Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Annu’puri and Niseko Village. All of the four ski resorts offers private or group lessons to your kids from 3 – 5 years old. You can choose from half day to whole day. I would suggest to go to a resort closest to your accommodation. Nevertheless, if you have Niseko United Pass, you can avail free transportation from all of four ski resorts.

All of the lessons are conducted in designated kids-only area with beginner lift and lessons only slope.

  1. Tube Park

Tubing/sliding in Hanazono  is a great way for the entire family to be engaged and have fun. They have a magic carpet to take you up back to the top of the tubing lanes. Hanazono runs a free shuttle bus from entire Hirafu Village to Hanazono 308 every 20 mins from 8am to 5pm daily through out the winter season.
Hanazono also offer snowmobiling and this year tandem snowmobiling, which is another great family activity.  Children must be 7yrs and over to enjoy this activity. They offer a 30min and  60min tour for up to 8 snowmobiles.
